Our Why

The rates of colorectal cancer cases are rising rapidly among young adults.  According to the MD Anderson Cancer Center, cases are projected to increase 90% in patients under 35 by 2030.

Colorectal cancer is the most preventable form of cancer. BCCAP wants to put colorectal cancer on young adults' radars, encouraging them to take steps to lower their risk.

our Inspiration

In 2002, SDSU professor Marina Hendricks lost her fiancé to a battle with colorectal cancer. Her story inspired the creation of BCCAP.
